Our Katy health center recently relocated to the corner of S. Mason Road and Highland Knolls Drive, in the Randall's Shopping Center. The newly built center is more spacious, allowing for easier access for patients and is open Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm.

Crystal Baez
Lead Medical Assistant
Crystal was born in Galveston, TX and raised in Houston. She enjoys being part of Diabetes America because it educates and helps patients manage their diabetes and at the same time prolongs patient’s lives. She graduated from Everest Institute in 2007. Since her graduation, Crystal has been working to help others in the medical field. Eventually she would like to further her career by becoming a Registered Dietician. Coming from a Latino background she would like to focus on educating the Latino community.
Crystal is currently married and has three pets who she considers her kids. Shaggy, Shadow and Chloe are their names and they are very spoiled. In her spare time Crystal is a biker girl. She enjoys riding with her husband on his motorcycle.

Elma Estrada

Liliana Garcia, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Liliana Garcia was born and raised in El Paso, TX. She has a master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Prior to working with DiabetesAmerica, she worked at Southwest Endocrinology and Diabetes in Duncanville, TX.
She discovered her interest in diabetes management due to a strong family history of this disease. She is excited to be part of DiabetesAmerica since together with the rest of the team; patients are able to receive the comprehensive medical care and educational tools that are important in the management of this condition.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dancing, exercising and spending time with friends.

Amber Smith
Diabetes Educator
Amber is a Registered Dietitian, born in Boynton Beach, Florida and raised in Texas. Her family currently lives in Austin, which she considers home. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin from the Coordinated Program in Dietetics. Her previous job was as a Clinical Dietitian at Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital.
She has a passion for nutrition and education because she believes in quality of life and never taking the fun out of food. Amber enjoys challenges and has a passion for motivating and helping people succeed with their goals. Her interest in diabetes began during her internship. Amber has a big heart for animals and owns a small cat named Lizzie. She enjoys traveling, church activities, and watching the Longhorns and Texans play football
