Mary Henderson Paley
Mary Henderson Paley
Certified Diabetes Educator
Mary is a Registered Dietitian/Certified Diabetes Educator and recently relocated from West Palm Beach, Florida  where she worked for the largest endocrine group practice in South Florida.  One of Mary’s strengths as an educator is her extensive career diversity, especially in the area of education. Her vast teaching experience ranges from educating patients and staff in small clinics in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, to leading grocery tours for Motorola employees and providing telephonic health coaching to diabetic patients in a metabolic research study. She is just as comfortable working with one-on-one with a patient in a medical office as she is with speaking to a group of retirees in a local clubhouse or at a symposium with an audience of health professionals. Her broad clinical background has also provided Mary with the expertise to address a wide variety of chronic conditions, in addition to diabetes. Another strength is her holistic approach--the “whole person” focus--- to diabetes management education. In working with patients, Mary understands that they each come with their own personal story, not just a medical history. She believes that it is vital that patients feel that they are getting individualized instruction, tailored to their unique needs and health goals. In her own words, “There is no greater satisfaction than helping and empowering others to take charge of improving their health in order to optimize their quality of life.”
